The teaching team at Kinglsey is a dedicated group of educators who are passionate about providing the best possible education for their students.
They are committed to creating a warm and nurturing environment that encourages each student to reach their full potential.
With a focus on individualized attention, the teaching team works closely with each student to understand their unique learning needs and create a personalized learning plan that helps them succeed. They use innovative teaching methods and the latest technology to make learning engaging, interactive, and fun.
Beyond academics, the teaching team is dedicated to fostering a sense of community and inclusivity among students. They encourage open communication and respect among their students, and they actively promote diversity and equity in the classroom.
Overall, the teaching team at our school is a group of professionals who truly care about their students and their futures. They go above and beyond to ensure that each student receives the education and support they need to succeed, and they are a vital part of what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow.

Ms. Williams, Principal
What grade/class do you teach?
I have taught Grades one, two, and kindergarten at Kingsley. I also taught the arts to grade 4 and 5. I have been principal at Kingsley since 2012.

What do you love about Kingsley School?
Kingsley is a place of inclusivity, diversity and a welcoming school culture. The sense of community in and between classes is one of the things that makes this a special environment. Our caring, talented, and creative staff ensure that growth and change are ongoing and nothing stagnates or stays the same. The status quo is always challenged. I love that I get to work alongside an incredible staff. Our Kingsley students make me smile every single day and I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of their educational journey. Kingsley is a place where we explore together and hold each other up while we do it. The attention to detail, the always leading with kindness, the expertise and knowledge that teachers bring to the table make for a wonderfully interesting and unique place to be. It is my home away from home.

As an emergent reader: Mr. Mugs books, then The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson
What are your Hobbies?
I enjoy making children's activity books, journals, sketchbooks and planning/filming for my early learning channel Salamander Clubhouse.
What do you look forward to?
Spending time with my three grandchildren.
Fun fact about me?
I had my first recording contract at 16 years of age. I have recorded three albums and I was the opening act for Boney M. once.

What do you love about Kingsley School?
I love our weekly Project Fridays! We have so much fun planning for all of the grades, building in opportunities for all the students to both learn from and mentor each other, be it the older students guiding the younger students or the younger students inspiring the older students. AND, we as teachers learn so much through the process, as we watch all the students get fired up and then we can respond and take it even further!
What is your favourite childhood book?
I learned how to read by reading Inside Outside Upside Down (a Berenstein Bears book) again and again and again…
What are your Hobbies?
I play the clarinet and the ukulele, I spend hours outdoors in my garden and I love to cook and bake for my family!
What do you look forward to?
I run a weekly Outdoor Classroom with my group, and it is always exciting to slow down and take the discoveries in as they come. Sometimes we bar step outside the front door, and we find all sorts of interesting critters or flowers or weather phenomena!

What do you love about Kingsley School?
I get to teach students in a caring and supportive environment that ensures students are provided with important life skills along with academics. I also love being able to interact, learn, and develop meaningful relationships with both teachers and students.

What are your Hobbies?
My hobbies include reading, boardgames, especially word games, and organizing things.
What do you look forward to?
I am always looking forward to meeting new students and helping them achieve their goals.

It’s my second home! I love sharing a love of music with students.

The Ship that Flew by Hilda Lewis; The Plains of Abraham by James Oliver Curwood; Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.
What are your Hobbies?
Performing as a jazz singer and singing concerts with Cantala Women’s Choir. I love to walk my beagle Barney along the Humber River.
What do you look forward to?
I look forward to visiting Lake Temagami every summer.
Fun fact about me?
My boys Adam and Noah went to school at Kingsley, and they are now all grown up. (Adam even had Mrs. Mead and Ms. F. as teachers!!)
Mr. Enkin, Band Teacher
What grade/class do you teach?
I teach the grade 4/5 band class, and do private music lessons on piano, guitar and ukelele.

What do you love about Kingsley School?
I have a different vantage point as a teacher at Kingsley because I move from room to room as I’m picking up a student for a lesson from their classroom. It doesn’t matter which room or teacher I go to; I find the teachers are relaxed, patient, encouraging and really caring with their students. What I love is that at Kingsley every student has a voice and it’s heard.
What is your favourite childhood book?
The Cat in the Hat by Dr Suess
What are your Hobbies?
Bird watching, canoeing and boxing.
What do you look forward to?
I look forward to seeing the kids performance skills improve at the Kingsley concerts, recitals and the talent club.

Every summer I go to the wilds of Temagami, Ontario, in search of the Lost Chord.

What do you love about Kingsley School?
I love that our school provides a nurturing environment that encourages children to thrive. I love how Kingsley supports student lead learning, we explore new ideas and allow room for growth. My colleagues and I find it rewarding when our students experience a “A-ha ! Light-Bulb” moment. It is fulfilling to watch our students further their love for learning.
What is your favourite childhood book?
Matilda, The Secret Garden, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
What are your Hobbies?
Painting, golfing and looking after my cat Bo.

I look forward to summer and golf season beginning.

What do you love about Kingsley School?
I love being a teacher because I enjoy working with young curious minds. Kingsley has a nurturing environment that encourages students to do their best. Through weekly "Project Fridays," each student is given space to shine. I love that our school offers leadership teams that demonstrate good character traits. In my classroom, I assist students to build upon good traits by providing them with learning opportunities that support their development through collaborative learning, and teamwork. Students build social skills that lead to independent problem-solving. I believe these are important skills that lend to a positive learning environment. I look forward to being a part of a diverse community of staff and students at Kingsley.

What are your Hobbies?
I enjoy going on long walks and exploring different trails.

There is something new to experience every day. The aftercare program inspires creative and collaborative thinking in a fun, relaxing and motivating atmosphere. Students' authentic curiosity is encouraged through research to develop their ideas and thoughts. Positive decision-making is practised daily and they interact in a variety of social opportunities in a group of varying ages.

What are your Hobbies?
I enjoy a good mystery novel and creating in the kitchen.

My favourite all-time moments are spending time with family and friends.

Did you know that when one tells a lie they do not grow a Pinocchio nose, but their nose does warm up? I started as and taught as the JK Teacher at Kingsley.
